Not only law-enforcement bodies, but also the ADD Group specialists were providing security of the Russian presidential elections. But it was another kind of security - energy security that implies reliable energy supply of polling stations during the elections.
The ADD Group has already been working with Lenenergo Grid company according to the insurance plan for about 2 years. We provide emergency energy supply in disturbance situations, as well as for public events that initiate special measures to ensure the high level of energy supply reliability.
The cooperation between a large Grid company of the North-West and the ADD Group started with the successful project implementation for emergency power supply during G8 Summit. During the last year the specialists of the ADD Group provided energy security of several events that necessitate high reliability level: the Sate Duma elections, the elections to Saint-Petersburg Legislative Assembly, the World Economic Forum.
In order to avoid electricity supply problems at polling stations on the Election Day, the equipment was delivered to eight Lenenergo sites in advance - on February 29. On March 1 the ADD specialists took part in the drill that demonstrated their readiness for solving that significant problem. The team on duty, responsible for the equipment, was on stand-by being ready to start the equipment at any time. Three more reserve diesel power stations were delivered to the sites, located in Leningrad Region- in Garbolovo, Sertolovo and Vsevolozhsk. The duty started in the afternoon on February 29 and finished in the morning on March 3.
The ADD Service engineers on duty were also present at the eleven sites of emergency equipment location. No incidents happened but the ADD specialists were ready for them.
