The 110/10(6) kV 25 MVA modular mobile substation was produced by A.D.D. HV Solutions LLC's enterprise for Nizhnovenergo JSC, a branch of Interregional Distribution Grid Company of Centre and Volga Region JSC.
The 110 kV line operating voltage switching on of the modular mobile substation has become the continuous regime operating readiness test. The modular mobile substation was working for 100 hours, and it demonstrated the main transformer operational readiness, as well as the relay protection system and automatic equipment reliability to the customer's representatives.
The mobile substation consists of two modules on semi-trailers 12-13 m long and 3 m wide. The first module contains a 110 kV SF6 insulated switchgear in the heat-insulated container and a 110/10(6) kV power transformer. A 10(6) kV switchgear and supporting systems are disposed in the second container. The modules are connected with 10 kV flexible cross-linked polyethylene cables 25 m long.
The modular mobile substation produced by A.D.D. was installed at Novosormovskaya substation. At the present moment, the substation is a part of the hot reserve in order, in case of an emergency, it could provide operational assistance to Nizhny Novgorod power engineers in winter.
