It was for the second time that the A.D.D. Group of Companies in co-operation with Lenenergo Grid Company provided emergency electric power supply for the International Economic Forum in Saint-Petersburg. Two diesel generating plants with the overall capacity of 1708 kW were operating in the stand-by mode for two days,
on 6-th and 7-th June, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The emergency power stations were "guarding" power supply of two Lenexpo pavilions where the Economic Forum events took place, as well as power supply of the floating hotel, moored near the Marine Passenger Terminal.
There were two more diesel power plants with the overall capacity of 1008 kW where the A.D.D. Group's specialists were on 24-hour watch, providing electric power supply for illuminating and sound equipment installed at the main ground of the Forum (in pavilion 8A) where President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev was making his speech. It turned out that the up-to-date illuminating and sound equipment was very sensitive to parameter instability of electrical power, so the Forum providers concluded a contract with A.D.D. for providing energy from local electric stations for their equipment.
From 30 May to 9 June, the two A.D.D.'s electric stations were operating 24 hours a day, first, in order to test the illuminating and sound equipment, and then, in order to provide perfect light illumination and sound during the most significant events of the International Forum.
The A.D.D. Group has already been co-operating with Lenenergo Grid Company for about two years, providing emergency power supply in the following situations: well-provided emergency power supply in disturbance situations and power supply for the events which require extraordinary security measures and high reliability degree. The A.D.D. Group was doing it for G8 Summit, the Russian presidential elections, the State Duma elections, the 11-th International Economic Forum and for other events.
