The company has signed the contract for supply of four converters in bridge-mounted configuration: three 90 kVA converters and one 120 kVA converter.
A.D.D. Distribution is the official supplier of ADVANT AIR® equipment which is a joint product of A.D.D. and Semidan Power (Denmark). The company provides warranty and post-warranty servicing of the equipment as well as its service maintenance.
The new bridge-mounted configuration entailed implementation of the new engineering solution, modification of the device, of its housing and frame.
ADVANT AIR® airfield electrostatic frequency converters for aircraft power supply network are going to be installed under the boarding bridge, completed with the cable winch and aircraft cable.
The metal housing where the frequency converter (400 Hz, 90 kVA) is placed, is corbelled to the bottom part of the boarding bridge. The output supply cable with a plug is kept suspended. It can be moved up and down with the help of electromechanical winch which is disposed in the upper part of the boarding bridge above the converter. The device contains an outside unit for controlling the converter and the winch. For the sake of convenience, this control unit is positioned in the bottom part of the boarding bridge movable support.
The new solution with the electromechanical winch is advantageous because the equipment handling becomes easier and more reliable. Using of the home-made cable has made the project more cost-effective and affordable.
